About Teg Labs
We build software for the work property teams actually do
Teg Labs started from a simple observation: the most important facts about a property portfolio are locked inside documents nobody has time to read.
Our story
Why we started
Every property management team we spoke to had the same three artefacts: a system that collected rent, a folder of PDFs nobody opened after signing, and a spreadsheet that one person maintained from memory. The spreadsheet was where the important dates lived, and it was almost always slightly wrong.
That is not a discipline problem. Lease terms are genuinely hard to keep in view — they are long, individually negotiated, and amended over years. Asking people to hold them in their heads and re-key them into a calendar is asking for the errors that follow.
We think the answer is to read the documents properly, once, and keep the results where the work happens. Not to replace the judgement of experienced property managers, but to make sure that judgement is being applied to what the lease actually says.
